WATCH: DA KZN leader Francois Rodgers MPL visits Empangeni

They inspected damaged infrastructure within the CBD

A high level DA KZN delegation visited Empangeni on Saturday to inspect the damage caused by the week’s looting as part of the DA provincial recovery clean-up campaign.

Leader Francois Rodgers MPL was welcomed into Empangeni from DA Ward Councillors Andre de Lange, Henning de Wet and Christo Botha.

They inspected damaged infrastructure within the CBD, and ward councillors took Rodgers and his team to meet community and CPF members that protected the town during the riots.

Rodgers thanked those who stood up in the time of need and passed on encouraging words and hope to those who met with him.

After spending some time in the town, he was escorted to Richards Bay to assess the damage and meet citizens involved in protecting their community.
