Telkom Netball League ready to get underway
2021 Telkom Netball League gets underway in a two-legged affair

Exciting news for players, coaches and administrative staff is that the 2021 edition of the Telkom Netball League (TNL) was officially launched and confirmed by Netball South Africa.
This will be the eighth year of the highly competitive league that has produced a number of national team candidates over the years.
The TNL will be played over two legs this year and will be split between Pretoria (5-12 September) and Rustenburg (9 October – 17 October).
Following the Covid-19 and current government regulations, the tournament will be staged in a biologically safe environment with no spectators allowed.
The thirteen competing teams will be checked into a bio-secure bubble ahead of the tournament. But avid fans, family and friends will be able to access the live action from TNl on SuperSport.
Great news for the league is that Telkom decided to extend their partnership with Netball South Africa and will continue to be the sponsor of the league.
Netball South Africa has also confirmed that the players who were selected for the SPAR Proteas recently, will not be participating in this year’s edition of TNL as they will have to travel to Kingston, Jamaica halfway through the league.
The absence of these players opens the door wide for young emerging players to come to the fore and showcase their talents.
Last year saw the inclusion of Kingdom Queens from KZN and the Tornados from the Western Cape, who competed in the B Division.
This year will see a new side from the Eastern Cape joining the fold.
Information regarding fixtures and broadcast details will be available on Netball South Africa’s website and all social media platforms.
