There is still some time to do the big walk

There are just a few days left to register and participate in this year's Sanca/Eyethu Bay Watch Walk Away from Drugs event.

THERE are just a few days left to register and participate in this year’s Sanca/Eyethu Bay Watch Walk Away from Drugs event.

While the official date was last Saturday
(4 September), the virtual event this year runs for two weeks (28 August – 11 September), allowing more people to participate at their leisure.

Those who walked on Saturday began at the Zululand Yacht Club and walked along the dirt road to the Bay Hall area and back, collecting litter en route.

A hearty breakfast welcomed them on their return to the yacht club.

Up until Saturday, 70 people had registered for the walk, but the total will be tallied after this weekend’s closing date.

Participants are encouraged to take selfie photos and videos during their walk and post them on Facebook, tagging Sanca Zululand.

Medals will be given to all who participated and will be available at various collection points in Empangeni and Richards Bay.

There is also a lucky draw prize – a two-night stay in Amanzimtoti.

So don’t delay, register today on www.Sancazululand.online by following the bright yellow prompts. Anyone can enter, whether child or adult – and your dog can even join in the fun!
