Multiple injured in N2 Mvoti crash

Multiple people were injured in a head-on collision on the N2 southbound carriageway in the vicinity of Mvoti Toll Plaza this (Thursday) morning.

According to reports from paramedics on scene, a vehicle was travelling on the northbound carriageway when it apparently lost control, crossing the centre median and colliding with a vehicle travelling in the opposite direction.

‘On arrival at the scene, IPSS Medical Rescue, together with IPSS Search and Rescue division, found the driver of the vehicle which was travelling south, heavily entrapped in the wreckage.

‘Once freed from the vehicle, the critically injured man was stabilised and then transported to hospital for further medical care.

‘Two more patients were treated on scene and transported to medial facilities,’ said IPSS Medical Rescue spokesperson Paul Herbst.
