Stolen bakkie recovered in eNiwe

The white Kia k2700 bakkie was reported stolen at Inanda SAPS in Durban in August.

A TIP-OFF led Empangeni police to a home in eNiwe last Tuesday night, from which a stolen bakkie was recovered in a garage.

King Cetshwayo cluster police spokesperson Captain Siyanda Shangase said a man was arrested and charged for being in possession of a stolen vehicle.

‘He appeared at Empangeni Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday and was remanded in police custody for further investigation,’ Shangase said.
‘He is expected to appear at the same court today (Monday) for a formal bail application.’
