THE scene of this (Monday) morning’s accident at the eSikhaleni intersection on the John Ross has only just been cleared.

The accident between an articulated truck and a bus occurred at around 5.40am. The collision caused both vehicles to veer off the road and down the embankment.

Paramedics from KwaZulu Private Ambulance Serviced assessed the numerous patients whose injuries ranged from minor to critical.

Two people were declared deceased. Recovery of the vehicles got under way once the patients had been transported to hospital and the debris cleared. This story will be updated as more information arises.
