WATCH: Zululander captures #Emnati on video as Madagascar is battered
Emnati is expected to follow the same course as Batsirai, and is not expected to affect South Africa
INTENSE tropical cyclone Emnati made landfall in Madagascar this morning (Wednesday), at wind speeds of 100km/h, gusting 140km/h.
This comes just two weeks after the small island nation was battered by cyclone Batsirai.

According to Meteo Madagascar, Emnati was over the Lakora district at 8am today.
On making landfall, it moved southwest at 31km/h.
It was expected to cross the Anosy region and come to sea near the Androy region by the end of the day.
Communities in Vatovavy, Fitovinany, Amoron’i Mania and Matsiatra Ambony were warned to remain vigilant.
Emnati made landfall in roughly the same area that Batsirai did, and is expected to follow a similar course.
According to the SA Weather Service (SAWS), Emnati is not expected to reach South Africa.
