Public hearing on KwaZulu-Natal Gaming and Betting Tax Amendment Bill, 2021
A public hearing will be held on Thursday 30 June at uMkhumbane Community Hall

The Finance Portfolio Committee of the KwaZulu-Natal Legislature invites all relevant stakeholders and other interested groups to attend public hearings on the KwaZulu-Natal Gaming and Betting Tax Amendment Bill, 2021.
The purpose of the public hearings is to provide all relevant stakeholders and other interested persons an opportunity to make verbal as well as written representations on the Bill to the Finance Portfolio Committee.
The Bill seeks to amend the KwaZulu-Natal Gaming and Betting Tax Act, 2010, so as to repeal section 5 of the said Act, to provide for validation of taxes collected or paid in terms of Provincial Notice No. 112 of 5 October 2012, to provide for the substitution of the Schedule to the Act and to provide for matters connected therewith.
The Public Hearing will be held as follows:
- Date: Thursday, 30 June 2022
- Venue: uMkhumbane Community Hall, 60 Bramcote Road, uMkhumbane, Durban, 4138
- Time: 9am

Kindly take notice further that the Standing Rules of the KZN Legislature have been amended with effect from the 26th November 2021. Any stakeholder wishing to revise any previous written representations made on the Bill, may do so no later than the closing date for public comments indicated in this notice.
