MEDIA INVITE AND ALERT: RBIDZ to host bursary awards ceremony

The bursaries are part of the RBIDZ Study Assistance initiative offered through the company's Corporate Social Investment Programme

The Richards Bay Industrial Development Zone Company SOC Ltd invites you to the Bursary Awards ceremony and the recognition of young professionals who are former RBIDZ Study Assistance (bursary) beneficiaries who have since completed their tertiary studies respectively.

The RBIDZ is proud to announce that since the inception of the Study Assistance Initiative in 2017 it has made funds available to assist needy students from across the King Cetshwayo District to further their tertiary studies. This initiative forms part of the RBIDZ’s responsibility to plough back to the communities as well as prioritisation of education and skills development.

The bursaries are part of the RBIDZ Study Assistance initiative offered through the company’s Corporate Social Investment programme which is aimed at assisting deserving and disadvantaged students to further their tertiary studies in the higher learning institutions of their choice.

The bursary accommodates the following study areas among others: Applied Geology, Actuarial Science, Quantity and Land Surveying, Built Environment, Accounting, Construction Management and Chemical Engineering. The bursary covers full tuition, accommodation, meals, textbooks and other study resources.

The RBIDZ Board Chairperson, Dr. Sakhile Ngcobo together with the Social and Ethics, Board Committee Chairperson, Mr. Elphas Mbatha will officially award the bursaries to new beneficiaries and also recognise former beneficiaries who have since completed their tertiary studies. The ceremony will be attended by bursary beneficiaries/students, former bursary beneficiaries, parents and guardians.

Members of the media are invited to attend.
