We’re looking for an experienced videographer and content writer to join our team in Empangeni. Our videographer and content writer will be responsible for all aspects of pre- and post-production. They will need to be well organised and communicate well with the full team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for recording, editing and delivering video content
• Act as presenter/interviewer for produced video content
• Ability to turn a brief into compelling visual content including acting as voice over
• Creating original concepts and storyboards, and pitching them to the marketing team and clients
• Managing the full production process, from shooting, lighting and audio recording, to editing, colour, sound grading, exporting and archiving
• Staying up-to-date with new creative and technical advances
• Pre-production planning and arranging film contents
• Facilitate and transfer of footage
• Work with motion/graphic designer to embed content into videos
• Facilitate reviews of work and implement feedback
• Attend meetings as needed
• Provide creative input and a learning voice to your work
• Prepping presenters to be filmed

REQUIRED PERSONALITY TRAITS AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Experience in editing video content, documentary or interview content
• Experience in producing or production coordination
• Experience with handling digital video camera, lighting, audio and production skills
• The organisational skills to plan and book shoots
• Creativity and ability to work with a team to explore briefs and generate ideas
• A good understanding of typography and layout
• Deadline-driven and detail-orientated
• Committed to achieving the best
• A passion for new ideas
• An excellent communicator at all levels
• Comfortable about receiving feedback and acting on sometimes multiple reverts
• Able to work on a number of projects at once
• A can-do person with a problem-solving attitude, who’s cheerful and fun to work with

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Grade 12
• Own reliable vehicle and driver’s licence
