uMfolozi Municipality launches community forums

Arts and Culture, Youth Council, Senior Citizens, Disability, Men's, Women’s, and Religious Leaders' forums established

UMFOLOZI Municipality on Tuesday launched several local forums to improve the lives of local residents.

Each of the municipality’s 17 wards was represented by the chairperson and secretary elected to represent the structures.

These included Arts and Culture, Youth Council, Senior Citizens, Disability, Men’s, Women’s, and Religious Leaders’ forum.

Mayor Xolani Bhengu urged the newly-elected forum leaders to work together for the people of uMfolozi.

In attendance were ward councillors, council Speaker Tobias Gumede, Department of Agriculture and Rural

Development chief director Nonhlanhla Ndlela, and Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs public participation director Phumani Kubheka.
