Unleashing bright futures with NCT Richards Bay Wood Chips community initiatives

Embark on a journey of empowerment and education with NCT as we proudly introduce our pilot campaign, dedicated to supporting young girls and fostering a nurturing environment for learning.

Driven by the passion to keep girls in school and uphold their dignity, NCT has taken a bold step towards alleviating the challenges faced by Enqabeni Combined School’s young talents. Our thoughtful gesture ensures no child is deprived of an education, making a significant impact on their lives.

In collaboration with Enqabeni Combined School, located just 19km outside Vryheid and adjacent to our own NCT Tree Farming at Elenjane, we’ve provided a total of 1 692 packs of sanitary pads. But our commitment goes beyond numbers: we’ve supported 193 female learners, equipping each with a supply lasting up to six months. The resounding success of this initiative has resonated positively with both the eager pupils and their dedicated teachers.

NCT Richards Bay Wood Chips is not just about education; it’s about building skills and creating opportunities. Proudly funded by NCT, the youth of Mandlazini Traditional Council have undergone comprehensive training in Tractor Loader Backhoe (TLB) and Front-End Loader (FEL) operations. With 20 participants successfully earning their certificates in December 2023, we believe these newfound skills will be the key to unlocking doors of possibilities for them.

In the spirit of community enrichment, Fantocy Daycare in Mandlazini has experienced a transformative makeover courtesy of NCT’s community programmes. As we approach the new school year, we took the initiative to refresh the learning environment by repainting the walls of Fantocy Daycare. From 12-14 December, NCT meticulously painted approximately nine classrooms, creating a vibrant and inspiring space for the young minds of Fantocy Daycare. Join us at NCT in creating a brighter future for our communities, one initiative at a time. Together, we can make a lasting impact and pave the way for success!
