Coastal IT was established by Muhammed Lutchka, a striving entrepreneur who has made the business his core focus, with the hope of developing a company with excellent staff and service.

From humble beginnings, with just one vehicle and one technician, Coastal IT has become one of the leading IT consultants in the city, with a fleet of vehicles and a staff complement of 10 highly experienced software and  hardware engineers, and consultants.

Coastal IT is authorised to sell, install and maintain various brands of computers, servers and software: Acer, Hewlett Packard (partner), Lenovo (partner), ESET partner, Dell partner, Cisco Reseller, Vodacom Business Agents, Netgear, MOXA, Cambium, Aruba, Duxbury, Sophos, as well as a range of other brands. In addition, the company has built excellent partnerships with major internet service providers, including Vodacom, Liquid Telecom, Samcom, I-Connect and EgdeConnect.

Keeping up with the times, Coastal IT is also a supplier of solar powered inverters and UPS solutions for clients in Richards Bay and Umhlanga.

Networks

Coastal IT is equipped to install structured network cabling (CAT 5/6 UTP, Optical Fiber, CCTV). Its cabling team provides extensive services in the installation and configuration of all types of networks, specialising in Cisco
routers, remote access, Diginet, Metro, Comsol, Fibre, VPN, WiFi and Cloud Solutions.

The company also specialises in industrial, commercial and residential wireless solutions, designing and revamping of server rooms and boardrooms. Coastal IT has been linked with companies in the Netherlands, Siberia, France, Mozambique and Dubai over the last few years, and has successfully completed and deployed major projects.

Software

Coastal IT has extensive knowledge and skills in various fields, such as Microsoft, computer aided design and manufacturing systems, and as such, a wide range of application and development software packages are supplied, installed and supported.
