KZN schools to celebrate King Misuzulu

The historical entering of the kraal ceremony will be taught in schools for generations to come

Tuesday has been set aside as the official day to commemorate King Misuzulu kaZwelithini after last weekend’s historical entering of the kraal ceremony.

In a circular sent to school management teams and governing bodies, the KZN Department of Basic Education (DBE) has called for the celebration of the recent event at schools.

The department in KZN is joining the province in celebrating and honoring his majesty the king.

“This is part of the proud history of our province which will continue to be taught in our schools for many generations to come,” said KZN Education MEC Mbali Fraizer.

“It is in this regard that the MEC for education in KZN is dedicating Tuesday as a day for schools and the department to celebrate this historic day.”

To participate in this iconic history and celebrate His Majesty King Misuzulu kaZwelithini, the MEC encourages all teachers, learners and other employees to wear traditional attire on Tuesday.

The MEC further stated that the department was committed to working with his majesty the king in pursuit of quality education in public schools.
