Fake news: Health department dismisses ‘wrong vaccine’ accusations

Department of Health says vaccinated South Africans are indeed safe

THE Department of Health on Saturday, took to Twitter to shut down false Covid-19 vaccine claims doing the rounds on social media.

Stating ‘Dr Phaala drops massive bomb’ on vaccinated people, the post claims South Africans had received the incorrect Covid-19 vaccine.

While no statement has been released by the Department of Health, the post has been deemed fake news, with the department saying vaccinated South Africans are indeed safe.

Even though these claims have been dismissed, South Africans have taken to social media to voice their concerns.
