Family shocked by Induna’s fatal shooting

The fatal shooting of an Induna in the kwaNomathiya area on Friday evening has left his family distraught.

Inkosi Ntokozo Mkhwanazi of the Mpukunyoni Traditional Council described the deceased, Induna Ngcebo Mkhwanazi, as having ‘no quarrels with anyone’.

It is reported that Induna Mkhwanazi was shot by unknown suspects on Friday between 5 and 6pm as he was travelling from one family home to another close by.

According to reports, three gunshots went off at the time of Induna Mkhwanazi’s attack.

Police spokesperson, Captain Sbusiso Mkhize said a case of murder has been opened and no arrests have been made. ”

We do not know how many suspects are behind the murder, and the motive for his murder is also unknown, but investigations are ongoing,” Mkhize said.
