WATCH: Leopard cub gives mother headache as kill falls from tree

A leopard cub grabbing a quick bite to eat up a tree was caught on camera causing much drama and no doubt a headache for its mother when it lost control of their meal.

In video footage that has gone viral on social media, the cub can be seen starting to eat an impala kill high up a tree, when the carcass suddenly falls, landing on the cub’s mother’s head.

In true cat fashion, the startled mother jumps up and back, away from her ‘attacker’.

She then starts the process of dragging the kill back up the tree, with a somewhat sheepish-looking cub trying to stay out of her way while also learning the necessary skill.

The video was filmed at Sabi Sands Game Reserve in Kruger National Park and posted on the Latest Sightings Kruger Facebook page.
