Proving that not all heroes wear capes, a Richards Bay Jack Russell is being hailed the town ‘shero’.

In a life and death situation, Chocolate, the family rabbit slipped into the swimming pool and Oreo came to her aid in fine hero form.

The rescue was caught on CCTV and shows Oreo’s heroics as she yanked the floundering Chocolate out of the water – give it a watch below.
