A HORRIFIC accident on the N2 near eNyoni has left six dead and nine critically injured.

The crash occurred at about 3.30pm, involving a side-tipper truck and a light motor vehicle.

KZN Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and IPSS Medical Rescue are on scene, and advanced life support paramedics treated the injured prior to transporting them to various hospitals in the vicinity.

This is an active scene and motorists are urged to slow down and let emergency vehicles past.
