‘Operation Pothole’ yields good results

Get involved in the ZO's 'Hole Truth' campaign

New depths have been reached in the ZO’s ‘The Hole Truth’ call-to-action pothole campaign.

The poor condition of roads in the region can be measured by the recent exponential growth of the pothole offenders’ list.

While some of the holes have been filled, there are still numerous that have not.

The Kerk Street pothole, for example, has been a permanent fixture since last year, almost doubling in size after recent heavy rains.

Newly-painted road markings in Richards Bay

Since the launch of this safer roads initiative, the City of uMhlathuze has undertaken much work, including filling potholes and painting road markings.

The city has also been removing long grass on pavements and road verges, making it safer for pedestrians.

By participating in this campaign, you can be an activist in making our roads safer for all.
