Richards Bay stranding of critically endangered turtle increases concerns
Turtle with deep neck wound seen at Tuzi Gazi Waterfront

In the latest marine stranding in Richards Bay, a gravely injured hawksbill turtle was rescued by a party of Good Samaritans at Tuzi Gazi Waterfront on Thursday.
The critically endangered turtle was sporting a deep neck wound; the blood and hanging flesh initially appearing like plastic wrapped around its neck as it attempted to swim and surface for air.
