Severe thunderstorm warning for northern KZN
Thunderstorms predicted for northern parts of KZN

Residents in the northern parts of KZN are urged to be on high alert this evening (Friday) as a level 2 weather warning has been issued.
According to the report by the South African Weather Services (SAWS), Zululanders should brace themselves for severe thunderstorms.

Areas that could be affected in the region include Hlabisa, Hluhluwe, Jozini, Mandeni, Mthonjaneni, Mtubatuba, Nkandla, Nongoma, Ulundi, uMhlabuyalingana, uMhlathuze and Pongola.
Excessive lighting and hail is forecast coupled with heavy downpours and strong winds.
These severe weather conditions may result in difficulty driving which could lead to accidents, localised flooding and damage to infrastructure.
Zululanders are advised to avoid outdoor activities and to stay away from bridges and roads in low-lying areas.
