Richards Bay oval track roars back to life

Hot racing action in Richards Bay on Saturday as new oval track season gets under way

This Saturday will see the start of the new oval track season, with plenty of cars and drivers ready to rev.

The Stockrods are eager to get through a competitive season and see who could be the champion, with a few youngsters eager to make their mark.

The 1660 Saloon class sees the return of Boetie van Tonder and Jaco Joubert, while newbie Tiaan Olivier will show what he’s got.

The young ¼ Midget drivers are also ever so sweet and they love to show off and show the crowd what they can do.

There will also be some drifters in the house to entertain the crowd and give some suicide rides as the East Coast Drift begins.

Gates open at 12 noon with racing due at 6pm.

Entry fee is R80 for adults and R40 for children.
