South Africans across the board are affected by the sudden internet connectivity issues

If it’s not load-shedding or water outages, it’s internet downtime plaguing South Africans.

As reported by Tech Central, multiple subsea cable breaks are the cause.

“Multiple undersea cable failures between South Africa and Europe are currently impacting South Africa’s network providers, including Vodacom,” Vodacom spokesman Byron Kennedy told TechCentral this afternoon.

The souce of the break, however, is yet to be confirmed.

This is the second time in seven months that an undersea cable break has caused internet downtime in South Africa.
