Zululand region looks set to enjoy a pleasantly mild Easter weekend
The wild and woolly weather appears to be behind us as the Zululand region looks set to enjoy a pleasantly mild Easter weekend punctuated with occasional showers.
For Richards Bay residents, Good Friday will bring a mixed bag, with periods of cloud and sun and a passing shower or two.
Temperatures should reach a maximum of 26 degrees Celsius.
At 27 degrees, Sunday and Monday’s temperatures will be the highest of the long weekend, and should be dry for the sunrise service at Alkantstrand on Easter Sunday.
Empangeni residents can expect rain on Friday, with temperatures reaching 25 degrees C.
Saturday will start to brighten up, with Sunday and Monday forecast to be brilliant sunshine.
Elsewhere in the Zululand region, Mtubatuba will also experience a mixed bag on Friday, but sunny for the rest of the weekend, with highs reaching 26 degrees.
Hluhluwe’s rain from Friday will extend into Saturday, but the rest of the weekend will be sunny and mild with highs of 27 degrees.
Further inland, Pongola will experience a clear and sunny Good Friday, with rain set to commence on Saturday. Highs will reach 28 degrees.
With lows of 16 and a high of 29 on Monday, eShowe will experience a wet and chilly start to the long weekend, with temperatures starting to rise on Sunday.
