Richards Bay Minerals hosts successful open day in eSikhaleni

It was an informative day for learners and aspiring business owners on Saturday at the annual RBM open day, hosted at Tisand Technical High School in eSikhaleni.

The event was organised by the company for information-sharing purposes with relevant stakeholders, and included business and educational assistance opportunities they can offer.

RBM has been operating in this region for just over 40 years, guided by values of care, curiosity and courage for the people of the communities in which it operates.

Addressing the crowd, RBM MD Werner Duvenhage acknowledged the community’s presence and encouraged them to engage with employees.

He revealed that the people of this region are likely to bear the reality of the difficulties the company is experiencing with Zulti South project developments.

“Events of this kind allow us to communicate directly about what is going on at RBM. Since I have become MD, there is a lot of good and bad that has happened, however, what stands out most for me is the power of collaboration and what can happen if we use that,” said Duvenhage.

He encouraged a peaceful co-operation partnership for the bright future of the region and the people living in it.
