Cocaine worth millions recovered on a vessel at the Port of Richards Bay

Cocaine bricks worth an estimated R15-million have been recovered on a vessel at the Port of Richards Bay.

Members of the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation boarded the Genco Columbia, which was carrying coal.

The vessel reportedly arrived in port at around 11pm on 19 April after leaving Barranquilla in Columbia on 26 March.

The ship was due to sail on 25 April after discharging coal.
