THE N2 at eMfekayi, north of Mtubatuba, was the scene of a deadly accident this afternoon (Sunday), when a bus overturned.

Authorities have so far confirmed two fatalities, but the extent of the other occupants’ injuries is still unclear.

The accident occurred shortly after 1pm, bringing the national route to a close as emergency personnel attended to the injured.

According to the authorities on scene, one of the wheels may have come adrift, causing the bus to overturn.
