WATCH: N2 Mtubatuba roadside market on fire

Stallholders' wares go up in flames as Zamimpilo Market fire rages

STALLHOLDERS who sell their wares at Zamimpilo Market near Mtubatuba are counting their losses after the facility went up in flames at about 5am today (Wednesday).

The market, situated at eMfekayi along the N2, was undergoing renovations and stallholders had moved their wares to an area at the back to allow renovations to continue. This is the area that is on fire.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. The market had started undergoing massive renovations in November.

As the fire is at the N2 roadside, motorists are urged to approach the vicinity with caution and switch on headlights as visibility will be reduced.
