Destitute Mtubatuba family seeks help

A destitute family living in a mud hut in eMfekayi in Mtubatuba is seeking help as they live under tough conditions.

Their mud hut, which has a leaking roof, houses five Gasa family members, three of whom are working age adults who are unemployed, and two young boys aged 12 and 14.

Ward Councillor Phila Mthiyane has appealed to members of the community to extend a helping hand to this family.

“No one works, they survive on child grants. They need a roof because they practically live outside under the current circumstances,” said Mthiyane.
