Light delivery vehicle catches fire in Empangeni, City of uMhlathuze Fire and Rescue springs into action
Thanks to an alert motorist, disaster was averted when a light delivery vehicle transporting garden waste caught fire in Empangeni earlier today (Thursday).
The incident occurred on Higgs Road. According to the driver, he suspects faulty wiring to be the cause.
City of uMhlathuze Fire & Rescue arrived in good time to douse the flames as other motorists continued with their efforts to contain further damage by throwing buckets of water over the vehicle.
