More strong winds forecast for KZN coastline
Boaters, anglers and beach-goers advised against coastal activities as more strong wind expected in KZN

Residents along the coast of KZN should brace for more strong winds and take the necessary precautions.
This includes being aware of potential crosswinds and stronger winds in exposed areas.

The SA Weather Service (SAWS) this morning (Monday) issued a level 1 warning for damaging winds along the KZN coastline, in effect from 10am to 11pm tomorrow (Tuesday).
Affected areas are KwaDukuza, Mandeni and uMlalazi in the Zululand region, as well as eThekwini, Ray Nkonyeni and uMdoni.
According to the SAWS, strong, gusting north to north-easterly winds with average speeds of up to 25 knots (46k/h) are expected, leading to a build-up of sand along coastal routes; localised disruption of small harbours; and small vessels at risk of taking on water or capsizing.
