Empangeni residents voice anger over service delivery issues

Residents off-loaded their anger over the state of their town at a public meeting in Empangeni

Tempers were raised at Empangeni Civic Centre on Tuesday night as Ward 23 residents off-loaded their anger over the state of their town at a public meeting.

Present were municipal manager Nkosenye Zulu, Phakama Mhlongo, Dolf Marais and Cllr Zonita Grobelaar, with Cllr Andre de Lange as MC.

Resident Renzo Perini slammed ‘serious oversights’ by the municipality. “My concern is the amount of taxpayers’ money spent, but is actually wasted,” he said.
