The elderly can draw their Older Persons’ Grant on 2 October, while the Disability Grant will be available from 3 October, and the Children’s Grant from 4 October.
Sassa took the decision to stagger grant payment dates during the Covid-19 national lockdown in 2020 to prevent a mass accumulation of beneficiaries descending on payment points at once.
Since then, the payment dates have held the same staggered format, prioritising the most vulnerable.
