Date set for annual toy run

Call for donations as Suzuki/Dice (Do I Care Enough?) Toy Run draws near

With the festive season around the corner, it is almost time for the Suzuki/Dice (Do I Care Enough?) Toy Run taking place on Sunday, 1 December.

Every year, Suzuki Richards Bay’s Belinda and Jaco Viviers, together with the Zululand biking community give their all to make the campaign a success.

This also relies heavily on the generosity and participation of the Zululand community who are all invited to donate toys, new or used, to the good cause.

Dice distributes the collected toys to children in need throughout the area – at schools, hospitals and foster homes, as well as charity organisations – to ensure as many children as possible experience a bit of the joy of Christmas.

Local bikers show their soft side at the toy run every year

Last year, members of the community generously donated clothing and other necessities for Dice to hand over throughout the festive season and beyond.

Toys can be dropped off at Suzuki Richards Bay, located at 75 Dollar Drive, until the end of November.

Mayfair Gearbox in Empangeni, Richards Bay Primary School, Veldenvlei Primary School and Felixton College are also assisting in collecting toys in their own capacities.

On 1 December, bikers will meet at Suzuki Richards Bay to join a convoy heading towards Empangeni for the handover of toys to Dice at the Zululand Observer offices.

Last year’s toy run donations and biker participation reached an all-time high – hopefully Zululand can beat the records yet again.
