WATCH: New road opens easier access between Alton and Richards Bay CBD

New road leading from the intersection at ZCBF to the Richards Bay CBD's bus and taxi rank now open

After years of waiting, Richards Bay motorists now have a route linking Alton with the CBD.

This after the Central Industrial Area Link road was officially opened by Deputy Transport Minister Mkhuleko Hlengwa and a City of uMhlathuze delegation led by Mayor Xolani Ngwezi on Thursday.

The R149-million infrastructure investment project began in 2021 and now boasts a new 1.9km road leading from the intersection at ZCBF to the Bay CBD’s bus and taxi rank…
