Scorching temperatures prove to be unbearable for many Zululand residents

With temperatures soaring to scorching levels this (Monday) afternoon, Zululanders have hit Alkantstrand and municipal pools to keep themselves cool from the heatwave.

In Empangeni, temperatures reportedly reached highs of around 40 degrees Celsius by midday, while Richards Bay and surrounding areas recorded temperatures of between 32 and 38 degrees.
