Community's urged to care for public spaces, call for shared responsibility

While Richards Bay booms as an industrial town, and is one of KZN’s most frequented holiday destinations, its natural beauty and public spaces are in decline.

By 6am, municipal workers clean up Alkantstrand and surrounding littered streets, yet trash still piles up and is dumped in greenbelts, with broken glass from public drinking adding to the mess.
