Lowest annual rainfall in 8 years

Zululand region experiencing the lowest recorded rainfall since 2017

After a dryer than normal winter season, figures point towards the Zululand region experiencing the lowest recorded rainfall since 2017.

This is according to rainfall figures recorded by the Richards Bay Clean Air Association (RBCAA).

While RBCAA’s figures pertain only to Richards Bay, Zululand Fire Protection officer Tony Roberts said his 2024 stats paint a similar picture over much of the region…
