Rotary donates wheelchair to stroke victim

Empangeni Rotary Club changes man's life with wheelchair

There were many happy tears as stroke victim Sbusiso Michael Mhlongo (56) was donated a wheelchair from the Rotary Club of Empangeni.
Until recently, he had spent much of his life indoors.

“Mr Mhlongo has been isolated due to his family members not being able to lift or move him,” said Empangeni Rotary Club president Andrew Killick.

“Thokozani Gumede, a community member who helps the needy, identified Mr Mhlongo’s need for a wheelchair.

“After four years of being unable to go outside, his mobility has been restored. Thanks to a ramp made by Thokozani, the lives of Mr Mhlongo’s family members have been made easier,” said Killick.
