Multiple injuries in two separate accidents near Empangeni at the weekend

Multiple injuries were reported in two separate crashes near Empangeni at the weekend.

In the first accident on the R102 Port Dunford Road on Sunday afternoon, a taxi lost control and collided with a tree leaving one person with critical injuries and two others with serious injuries.

KwaZulu Private Ambulance service who attended the scene said all patients received immediate medical attention before being transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

In another incident, emergency services responded to a serious collision between three vehicles on the R619 Nseleni on Sunday night.

“Paramedics rapidly assessed the scene and found one individual had sustained serious injuries,” they said in a statement, adding that patients were treated on-scene before being transported for further care.
