WATCH: Go mild, not wild this festive season

Sanca Zululand urges responsible drinking this 'silly season'

Holding their annual Arrive Alive festive season road safety campaign on Friday, the local Sanca branch urges Zululanders to ‘Go mild, not wild’ these holidays.

The event was held at the Engen garage on the N2 near eSikhaleni in collaboration with the uMhlathuze Local Drug Action Committee.

“We’re actively on the ground creating awareness of substance abuse. To the drivers out there, we say be responsible,” said Sanca Zululand director Shireen Sahadev.

“If you do drink, do not get behind the wheel. Have a wonderful festival season, and from all of us, ‘Yes to life and no to drugs!”

Sanca also shared the following tips:

· Eat before and while drinking

· Plan ahead for transportation, don’t drink and drive!

· Respect the rights of individuals who do not wish to drink

· Keep track of how many drinks you consume

If your drinking habits are out of control, seek help from Sanca Zululand by contacting them on 035 7723290.

Alternatively, visit them at 12 Jenner Road, Empangeni, Monday to Friday between 8am and 4pm.
