One dead, two critical in Sunday smash

One person died and three others sustained serious injuries in a collision near eSikhaleni earlier today (Sunday).

The two-vehicle accident occurred just after 10am on the southbound off-ramp of the N2 to eSikhaleni.

Mounties EMS attended the scene where one occupant was entrapped in one of the vehicles.

Two people were critically injured and a third sustained serious but not life-threatening injuries.

All the injured were treated on scene before being transported to hospital for further medical care.

Earlier in the day, KwaZulu Private Ambulance attended an accident scene on the N2 near Mtunzini.
