Plan moves ahead to repurpose Lilly Pipeline for LNG
The Zululand Energy Terminal (ZET) at the Port of Richards Bay will be the country's first LNG terminal
Following last week’s signing of an operator agreement for the liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal at the Port of Richards Bay, efforts to repurpose the Lilly Pipeline to transmit LNG are moving swiftly ahead.
This as Transnet Pipelines has given bidders until Friday, 28 February to enter into a Heads of Agreement (HOA) to secure pipeline capacity in the repurposed Lilly Pipeline.
