Warning of cat poisoning in Empangeni

Cat lovers, be on high alert.

Whatsapp messages have been circulated about cases of cat poisoning in the Kildare and Richem areas since the start of the year.

However, the Empangeni SPCA confirms they have not received any official reports.

“Some cats may wander to another person’s yard and eat something that they shouldn’t, so try to keep your pets in your yard,” said Lisa Conradie, Empangeni SPCA inspector.

They urge residents to keep pets in the yard and for any suspected poisoning incidents to be reported to their local SPCA.
