Severe thunderstorms for KZN

Zululanders should brace for more heavy rains today (Wednesday)

The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has issued a level two weather warning with severe thunderstorms forecast for the province.

In a statement, the SAWS said possible scattered showers and thundershowers can be expected over the north-eastern parts pf KZN and over the south and eastern parts, resulting in localised flooding.

“The expected amounts of rainfall may cause localised impacts in the surrounding areas as persistent showers and rain is expected from this afternoon until tomorrow,” said the weather service.

Some of the affected areas will include the City of uMhlathuze, Mthonjaneni, Mtubatuba, Nongoma, uMlalazi and uMhlabuyalingana municipalities.
