Empangeni business district ‘an eyesore’

Businesses along Tanner Road in Empangeni are raising frustration with the damage caused by side-tipper trucks along the busy route

With service delivery issues taking the spotlight, the City of uMhlathuze (CoU) is under the microscope.

Airing their frustration, business owners on Tanner Road at Empangeni Rail seek answers regarding pothole repairs and coal trucks hampering their daily operations.

“There is a walkway which coal trucks have made a designated parking area,” said one business owner who asked to remain anonymous.
