Truck accidents mount on the R34

There is mounting pressure for government for fix the R34 which has been cited as a death-trap for motorists

The heavily-used R34 outside Empangeni is fast becoming a death trap as potholes litter the route and lead to major accidents.

Highlighting the situation, two serious truck accidents occurred within days of each other recently.

At 7.40pm on Monday, a vehicle reportedly overtook a truck in the vicinity of Tronox, abruptly stopping in front of the truck to avoid a pothole.
