Quick response to Richards Bay CBD illegal dumping

Refuse piling up for months in the Richards Bay CBD has now been swept up by the uMhlathuze Municipality

After months of uncollected refuse near businesses in the Richards Bay CBD, the City of uMhlathuze has tended to the mess.

A story was published in the ZO on Monday in which the health concerns of businesses in the vicinity of the pile of refuse were detailed.

This area next to a major retail hardware business in the Richards Bay CBD had become an illegal dumping site, affecting nearby businesses

Swift intervention from the municipality saw the rubbish cleared away by Tuesday afternoon.
