WATCH: Life of talented opera singer sadly cut short

Zululand choral fraternity celebrates the life of great opera vocalist, Thembisile Twala

Rising to stardom at just 16 years of age after collaborating with kwaito star Zola 7, the late Thembisile Twala’s (37) life will remain a beacon of hope to many even after her recent passing.

After suffering a stroke in December and graduating to angel status on 1 March, Thembisile has immensely impacted both the classical and choral fraternities.

Her footprints forever etched in the hearts of her family, friends, Empangeni High School colleagues and learners, the news of her death is still incomprehensible to most.

Despite the unanswered questions as to what her future could have entailed, there is no denying that she used her life, talent and platforms to motivate, inspire and cultivate the future.
